Next generation sequencing (NGS) is a sequencing method to determine the order of nucleotides which accounts for our genome and is based on massive parallel sequencing of short fragments.
MULTIPLEX LIGATION-DEPENDENT PROBE AMPLIFICATION (MLPA)
Multiplex Ligation-dependent Probe Amplification (MLPA) is used to analyze gene copy number variations (CNVs) associated with diseases. MLPA is used to detect deletions, duplications, amplifications and anything from complete chromosomes to single exons.
10X SINGLE CELL
10X Single Cell RNA-seq is the newest generation of NGS sequencing techniques, which allow for analysis of transcriptomes, cell surface protein profiles, immune clonotype, antigen specificity, chromatin accessibility ect. on cell-by-cell basis.
DROPLET DIGITAL PCR (ddPCR)
Droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) is a refinement of the conventional PCR method. The ddPCR method is based on a water-oil emulsion droplet technology which enables a DNA sample to be divided into 20.000 nano-liter sized droplets. All of these droplets are now independent small PCR reactions each and the sum of all of these reactions are then used for the final result. It is the massive input of small reactions which is the key feature of the increase sensitivity achieved by this method.
COVID 19 SOLUTIONS
Amplexa Genetics offers PCR tests for COVID-19 and our test is of the same type as the test used in the public sector. We can test you for corona... but right now we only test to a very limited extent. If you are part of a group, we might be able to help you.
